Today we’d like to introduce you to Carver Jones.
Hi Carver , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
After high school I was looking for a way to do music, being from Nebraska the market isn’t extremely thriving. From there I ended going and living in a van with my other 2 buddy’s from Nebraska really just traveling around and street performing. That was the most important thing I could have done because that really gave me the perspective I needed to become the artist I am. We ended up playing most of the street corners in western America until eventually getting connected with my manager while we were living and playing in Portland Oregon.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I think each day brings something new at this stage in my career. Everything can feel up and down as it should but the truest thing that keeps my head above water is the the thrill of making music I love and being able to play that for people in real time.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a songwriter and guitar player I feel like those are my strongest suits. Overall I think what sets me apart is just my experience of life and wanting to have a sonic scrapbook that my self and others can have through the music.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My band means the world to me we are all hometown friends. Alec who plays the bass also plays a huge part of the creative vision we have. My other buddy max the drummer is an extremely talented and driven musician who continues to help me evolve everyday. Aside from that my Manager drew has really been with us from the beginning after his brother found us playing on the streets. He believes in me as much as I do and that has meant the world to me over the past few years.
