Rising Stars: Meet Chelsea Hawkins of Old Hickory, TN

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Hawkins

Hi Chelsea, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I played softball at the University of South Carolina from 2010 to 2014. Following that, I spent eight years coaching college softball at the Division 1 level. My enthusiasm for educating and mentoring individuals has always been a driving force in my life. Coaching at the collegiate level demands significant time and commitment, and I found myself yearning for more time to focus on what truly mattered to me—my friends, family, and relationships. My deep interest in fitness and nutrition led many to seek my guidance in these areas. One day, I realized, “I could turn this passion into a business and work remotely, allowing me to dedicate time to the things I love.” After much reflection and prayer, the path forward became clear. Although it was daunting, the decision felt right. I set clear goals for my future and took the courageous step to leave coaching and establish my own venture, LVL UP Performance. While I was uncertain about the specifics of how to achieve my vision, I was confident in my direction. I recognized a significant need for educating individuals on how to adopt a healthy lifestyle, which, while not easy, is fundamentally straightforward. My aim was to create a supportive environment where people could openly discuss their challenges with nutrition and exercise, ultimately developing personalized plans that promote sustainability. Additionally, I am a Real Estate agent with one of the leading teams at Keller Williams, Move Up Home Group. My mission remains consistent across both endeavors: to assist and educate individuals while being part of one of the most significant decisions in their lives. It brings me immense satisfaction to witness someone achieve their goals, knowing I played a small role in their journey.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey has been relatively smooth, and I have no major complaints. I’ve managed to increase my earnings while reducing my workload. Time is one of my most precious resources, so regaining some of it to invest in what I cherish most—friends, family, relationships, and personal time—has been a truly rewarding experience. The primary challenge I faced was being a sole business owner, which motivated me to join a real estate team. While managing LVL Up Performance, I realized I missed having colleagues to support me during tough times, to grow alongside, and to provide healthy challenges. As someone who thrives on social interaction, this became particularly evident around the eighteen-month mark. A friend of mine, Christian, who is the president of MUHG, reached out to me about joining his team. We align in our values, goals, and missions, making the decision clear. Our aim is to excel in serving families and assisting individuals, and we are actively achieving that goal. It feels great to collaborate with like-minded individuals who uphold strong values.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

This year alone, we have maintained an average of 17 days on the market and have successfully assisted approximately 40 families in 2024.

LVL Up Performance – I customize our nutrition and fitness strategies based on individual histories and aspirations. Understanding a person’s past is crucial to determining their future path and the means to achieve it. I prioritize intentional engagement with my clients, fostering deep connections that enable me to create tailored lifestyle plans. Effective communication is essential for both parties. I take pride in establishing a safe environment for my clients while also embracing vulnerability myself. My ability to relate to others stems from experiencing similar challenges, allowing me to communicate effectively and reassure them that they are not alone in their journey.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my most cherished childhood memories revolves around the time I spent with my Grandpa playing softball. Reflecting on those days, I realize there were numerous valuable experiences and unforgettable moments, both joyful and challenging. The lessons I learned during that time have stayed with me and shaped my life in many ways.
