Hi Courtney, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hey everyone! I’m Courtney Jackson, the proud owner of Babe Cave. My journey in the beauty industry has been an exciting one, filled with passion and continuous learning. As a celebrity hairstylist and lash artist, I specialize in everything from blonding and color to cutting and extensions. My services also include lash extensions, lash lifts/tints, brow lamination, facial waxing, and men’s cuts.

But—my story doesn’t end there. This past year, I embarked on a personal weight loss journey and discovered Arbonne’s incredible products. Their commitment to clean, organic ingredients resonated with me, and I’ve been hooked ever since. This journey not only transformed my health but also inspired me to share these amazing products with my clients.

I’m dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques, traveling nationwide for courses and constantly engaging in continued education. My goal is to provide the best services and educate my clients on maintaining their beauty routines between visits.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey in the beauty industry has been filled with challenges. From the start, I faced constant scrutiny about my appearance, the way I spoke, and my overall demeanor. I’ve been told countless times that I had to fit a specific mold to be accepted or to work in certain places. This pressure to conform was incredibly disheartening.

Working with various companies and people, I encountered disrespect and dishonesty. Some of my coworkers were two-faced, pretending to be supportive while secretly undermining me. It was tough to stay true to myself in an environment where lies seemed to be the norm. Additionally, companies often had me sign NDAs to conceal their flaws, making it even harder to navigate the industry with integrity.

On top of these struggles, I was exposed to mold in one of the places I worked, which severely affected my health. Despite being sick for years, I continued to push forward, building my business and striving to succeed. The journey has been anything but easy, but it has shaped who I am today. I’ve learned to persevere and stay true to my passion for beauty, even in the face of adversity.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a celebrity hairstylist and lash artist, and I own Babe Cave. I specialize in a range of beauty services including blonding, color, cutting, eyelash extensions, hair extensions, lash lifts, brow lamination, facial waxing, and men’s cuts/beards. What I’m most proud of is creating a space where everyone feels safe to be their authentic selves.

What sets me apart is my commitment to continuous learning and bringing the latest techniques to my clients. I travel nationwide for courses to ensure I’m always at the top of my game. My journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s made me resilient and dedicated to my craft.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have a network of mentors and supporters who have played a huge role in my journey. Salon owners and coworkers I’ve worked under have taught me the ins and outs of the industry, showing me both what to do and what not to do. Even the struggles and negative experiences have been invaluable, shaping me and my business into something beautiful.

I also owe a lot to the people I’ve followed on Instagram, especially Gina Bianca, “the hair doctor.” Her insights and guidance have been instrumental in molding me into the businesswoman I am today. I truly wouldn’t be where I am without all these experiences and the amazing people who have supported me along the way.
