Rising Stars: Meet Crystle Jones-Bond

Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystle Jones-Bond.

Crystle Jones- Bond

Hi Crystle, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a Nashville, Tennessee native, with a true passion for the world of hair care and entrepreneurship. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Entrepreneurship from the University of Chattanooga and built a career spanning over 10 years in the cosmetology industry.

From a young age, I discovered a passion for hair and has since become a highly sought-after expert in her field. I have shared my knowledge and expertise as a dedicated educator at Paul Mitchell School, inspiring aspiring stylists to excel in their craft. My work gained recognition in reputable publications in Birdie, and Vegamour, showcasing my talent and innovative approach to hairstyling.

I also extend beyond print media, as I have made appearances on popular radio shows such as Nashville’s 92Q and Kerry Hines Hair Radio. My interviews have enlightened listeners with invaluable hair care tips and industry insights.

As an accomplished author, I penned the book “I Want to Go Natural, Now What?” which serves as a comprehensive guide for individuals transitioning to natural hair. This testament to my expertise and passion empowers readers to embrace their natural beauty with confidence.

Not content with just sharing my knowledge, I have created my haircare line called Classic. With the introduction of the Classic Natural Hair Salon System in 2016, I revolutionized the industry by offering a range of products infused with essential oils and nutrients. This unique combination aids in the maintenance and consistent growth of hair, garnering widespread acclaim from customers and professionals alike.

I’m the proud owner of Assuage Hair and Body, a renowned natural hair salon, where I continue to provide exceptional services as a natural hairstylist, editorial stylist, and trusted celebrity stylist to country music star Ashlie Amber. This year has been a blessing as I won awards from The Texture Style Awards in New York and The Master Pioneer Legacy Award.

My talent and dedication have garnered a loyal clientele who value her expertise and personalized approach to hair care. Beyond her successful career, I cherish the unwavering support of her loving husband, Reginald Bond. Together, they form a formidable team, uplifting and inspiring one another as they navigate their respective endeavors.

Hopefully, my journey is an inspiration and testament to the passion, expertise, and relentless pursuit of excellence in the world of hair care. Through accomplishments and unwavering dedication, I want to continue to shape the industry and empower individuals to embrace and celebrate their natural beauty.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been an easy road. In reality, it has been a rollercoaster.

So many ups like winning awards but downs like not finding the right personnel for my brand and enduring so many of my influential family members passing away. I do try to stay positive and keep pushing. Shifting your mindset, learning balance, and staying motivated is a job in itself.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a natural hair entrepreneur. This title consists of a hairstylist, salon owner, cosmetic chemist, hair educator, author, celebrity hairstylist, and 2-time award-winning natural hair creator.

I love what I do and try to improve the world of natural haircare. I just want to change the mindset of how beautiful you can be with curls, coils, afros, etc. I call myself a hair nerd because I love to educate clients and stylists on better haircare options.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting.
My advice would be, to find a genuine mentor.

Keep learning, and trust the process of becoming better every day. I can say in the beginning I never understood why my path was the way it was. Now in hindsight, it’s like a puzzle that has finally made the picture come together.
