Today we’d like to introduce you to Dontae Eubanks.
Hi Dontae, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I am originally from Atlanta, Ga. I came to Nashville in 2010 to attend Tennessee State University on a band scholarship. After graduating, I began working for Nashville Government. As much as I enjoyed my line of work, I felt the need to help people attain what they thought was unattainable; I wanted to do something impactful while also creating lasting relationships.
I developed a passion for Real Estate after watching my Grandfather purchase investment properties. In 2019 I decided to get my Real Estate License and help navigate people through the process of making one of the most substantial investments of their life. I love selling real estate, traveling, and looking good while doing it.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Real Estate is a challenging career. As easy as we make it look, it takes a lot of work and hustling to develop a train of consistent transactions. I also learned early on how expensive it is to be a Realtor. There are fees, dues, miles, and time used sometimes before you even see a commission check.
I invested a lot of my time and money into the business and didn’t reap the benefits until long after starting. These challenges were coupled with lessons learned. I learned how to channel my focus, build stronger relationships, have financial literacy, and manage my time. It hasn’t been a smooth road at all but I fell in love with the process.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Realtor for Weichert Realtors – The Andrews Group. I help individuals buy homes as well as sell their homes. I like to look at myself as a problem solver. When an issue comes up in the buying or selling process, I’m the guy that solves the issue. Throughout my career, I have been able to meet a ton of individuals with all sorts of skills. I am the Realtor who has a guy for any need home related.
I am most proud when I can help a person buy their first home. First-time homebuyers can be nervous, overwhelmed, and scared. However; when I can help them beat all odds, close on their first home, and attain such a beneficial asset, it’s an emotional reward and worth it every time. I believe what sets me apart from others is my ability to stay unflappable. Clients trust me as their Realtor and sometimes feed off my energy. I like my clients to be comfortable throughout home-buying or selling and trust that I have everything under control.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
The housing market shifts throughout the years but real estate is and will always be a great investment. The power of owning such a lucrative asset both in profit and appreciation is unbeatable.
