Rising Stars: Meet Erin Cain of Music Row/Belmont Univ. neighborhood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Cain

Hi Erin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Profile is the joint creation between me and Shannon Melidis. We both received our esthetic license in 2014. Me, while living in San Francisco, and Shannon here in Nashville. We then worked together at FACE Nashville for years before launching our business. This move allowed a deeper and more personal focus on clients and their skin.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We started in July 2020, amid the COVID pandemic, so extra safety precautions were implemented. Our first space was a small room in a friend’s hair studio. Both our families grew alongside the business. Shannon was expecting her son when the company launched, and I had my daughter less than a year later. After a move within the neighborhood, Profile Skin Studio is now back in its original spot, in a larger space.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We’re a skincare studio that specializes in working one-on-one with clients and tailoring treatments to each person’s individual needs. We listen to our clients. We give them real results they can see and feel good about for a long time. We help clients understand their skin.

Profile combines medical and spa-based treatments. We are experts in customized facials and chemical peels. Everyone can benefit from a professional treatment. Whether you want to go without makeup or have more serious targeted issues you’d like to correct, our goal is to help you feel confident with how your skin looks and to give you the knowledge of how to maintain it. The two main product lines we know and love are used in the treatment room and offered in retail. Those lines are iS Clinical and PCA Skin. We have a curated retail space that includes various products for your face and body, including Pursoma bath soaks, Omnilux light therapy, Cloverbrook candles, Emogene & Co., and more. We love to support women-owned businesses and offer locally-made goods.

We truly believe that real skin is beautiful. We love it when clients want to go makeup-free and ditch the filters.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Shannon and I have the same wedding anniversary, and our mothers share a birthday. We love these connections.
