Today we’d like to introduce you to Francis Vega.
Hi Francis, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We are a family owned company, based out of Murfreesboro, serving Middle Tennessee. Nashville and surrounding areas.
My brother used to work at Caterpillar as a salesman, and I worked full time for our small moving business. We decided to buy a dump truck and shift the business more towards trucking. First couple months of the business was tough, between a truck that barely worked and when it was in good working condition, there was either rain or no work. At that time we had more work for the moving part so that helped us get through that rough start. After that we got our second truck and also a skid steer to compliment the truck by offering grading jobs with the material we were already selling and also haul offs. Then we got an excavator to sell our own top soil , and then we got our other 2 dump trucks. As of right now we have 4 dump trucks.
We also expanded into construction work, doing concrete and excavation jobs. We are planing to keep on growing.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not smooth at all. Just a rough start with a bad truck and hard to get started into something new. At the same time, our mom had a stroke almost at the beginning of our business venture. She has needed a caregiver since then, at the beginning it was a family effort of working and taking care of our families and also her. Now is the same but she’s doing better now.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We sell and deliver construction material, gravel, top soil, fill dirt, haul offs.
We specialize in communication and reliability. A lot of companies in this business are no shows and no calls. We keep our customers updated in their material deliveries. We also do concrete and excavation jobs, from patios and driveways to foundations and whole slabs. We do gradings and utilities.
We are proud of our customer service, our quality and integrity, qualities that for sure sets us apart from other business.
