Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade Griffin.
Hi Jade, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hey everyone! My name is Jade Griffin, 28 year old Nashville Native here, and I’m so honored to be featured today. My business started in 2018 when my friends were getting married and asked if I could do a “Behind The Scenes” of their engagement photo shoot. I loved being in front of the camera doing youtube but, when I finally got behind the camera, it was like a new level unlocked. For the last three years, I turned that experience into an amazing business. When the pandemic hit last year, I wanted to expand my business from just videography and add photography as well and it’s been an amazing journey thus far. I’m proud of the work that I have done and can’t wait to see how I will continue to grow this passion.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The road has been bumpy but, I’m glad for all the things I have learned thus far. The biggest struggle I have faced was limiting myself due to the fact that I’m self-taught. It can be frustrating trying to figure everything out on your own without trying to ask for too much help but, it’s been humbling and my experience has been specifically crafted for me. I take my highs and lows with dignity and strive to show up as the best version of myself everyday.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a full-time creative and I specialize in event videography and photography and lifestyle and professional shoots. I would say I’m most known for my videography but, I think people are starting to see my photography game as well. I am most proud of my promo videos because I love how creative I can be with them and videos are my first love in my business. I truly believe in my name, The Vi-Vid Experience, because you are getting an amazing experience with me. I’m very personable and huge on building relationships and most of my clients have turned into my family, so that is what sets me apart from others.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I believe that if someone finds a great mentor, who is willing to teach them the ropes, then it’s a huge blessing. I’ve had some help on the way but not an actual mentor and I’m okay with that. Networking has helped me tremendously because most of my clientele is from word of mouth. What helps me in the area of networking is my personality and that I have learned how to sell the value of my services to anyone.
