Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Quinn.
Jennifer, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My career started on the development side of construction, where I spent over a decade learning how projects truly get built; how to sequence decisions, protect budgets, and collaborate with trades. Even then, I was drawn to the creative side: how people move through their homes, where light lands, and how to make a space feel elevated without overspending.
I took on a few furnishings and design projects for former colleagues and clients from development and construction, and it snowballed. The business grew quickly from those relationships. I joke that I’m an accidental entrepreneur; I didn’t set out to start a firm, but I kept saying yes to good people and good projects.
Today, my studio focuses on new builds and furnishings. We bring a builder’s mindset to design—clear plans, realistic budgets, and attention to the unglamorous details—so the creative ideas actually make it across the finish line. The goal is always the same: spaces that feel calm, personal, and thoughtfully elevated.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been rewarding, but definitely not linear. I came from the development side, so construction didn’t scare me, but running a business did. That background gave me sequencing and budget discipline, but I had to learn how to price, set boundaries, and protect my time. Early on I tried to be everything to every project. Damages, backorders, and scope creep taught me how fragile the finish line can be.
What changed everything was treating client experience as a design problem. Building and furnishing a home can feel overwhelming; our job is to make it feel luxurious, organized, and—yes—fun. We rebuilt the workflow: establish investment ranges first, present edited options with lead times and smart alternates, lean on a tight roster of trusted vendors, and keep clients in the loop with clear, frequent updates.
Since then, the work feels better and the outcomes are stronger. Clients know what’s coming when, the creative energy stays high, and the details actually make it across the finish line.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I design spaces for how people really live and work, then make them beautiful. We do new builds, renovations, furnishings, multi-family and hospitality.
We design curated, layered spaces that reflect our clients’ style—not a single studio “look.” Some clients lean warm modern, others tailored traditional or collected and eclectic. We start with who you are: how you live, what you love, and the pieces that matter. Then we edit, refine, and build a cohesive palette that balances texture, tone, and scale, so the spaces feel elevated and deeply personal. The result is calm, livable rooms with character and intention. What I’m most proud of is when clients say, “This feels like us.” That’s the goal every time: a tailored mix that looks effortless because it’s been considered from the first layer to the last.
What sets us apart is our client experience. Building and decorating can be daunting; we turn it into a clear, predictable, concierge-style experience.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I’m good at hearing what a client loves (and what they don’t say out loud) and translating it into a clear, layered vision. Then I edit and sequence the thousand choices—what to keep, what to skip, and when to decide—so we protect budget and timeline, keep everyone calm, and deliver rooms that feel intentional, elevated, and unmistakably them.
