Today we’d like to introduce you to Keyonna Garfine.
Keyonna, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am a Cosplayer & Content Creator. I first started Streaming on Twitch in 2015 but enlisted in the Army in 2017 and stop for a few years as I could not stream while in training lol! I got back into in January 2021 while still serving active duty. I attempted my first cosplay that same year it was my DnD character and I fell in love. That year for October I decided to do a different Horror movie character for every stream in October and I have done it every year since. I did get out of the army in 2023 and have continued to stream and cosplay for fun for the last 5+ years and love it. All of my Cosplays can be found on my IG @Spookywagons_
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I was in a special operations unit while i was Active Duty Army and Deployed very frequently which always posed struggles on growing my audience in the content creator space – turns out people don’t love when you dissapear for months at a time. I have had many ups and downs focusing on numbers and analytics – but now I realize that I stream and cosplay purely for fun and the love it and no longer fixate on the numbers going up and down.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Cosplaying is a huge passion of mine and a big part of my online persona. I specialize in horror characters while making them still pretty in a way. I’m most proud of how much my community has come to love my stream in October and how drastically my Horror character cosplays have improved over the years.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I feel as though most of the ideas I have found have come from pulling insporation from other creators and putting my own spin on the characters, Other then that it has been mostly myself and my twitch community that deserves the credit.
