Rising Stars: Meet Kiersten Achey of Nashville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiersten Achey.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up in a small town in Indiana and honestly never expected my life to go in this direction. Before social media, I was in marketing and real estate, which taught me a lot about people, branding, and business, but I always had a creative side that wanted more. I have always loved hosting, cooking, bringing people together, and making people feel welcome.

I started posting content because I genuinely loved food, culture, and storytelling. At first it was just me sharing recipes, restaurant spots, and everyday moments, but over time people really connected with it. I think what made it different is that it was never just about the food. It was about the feeling behind it. Family, culture, community, tradition, and connection.

A huge part of my platform became centered around Middle Eastern food and culture, and that completely changed my life. I started introducing people to foods and traditions they may have never experienced before, and seeing people become more open minded, curious, and connected through something as simple as a meal has been incredibly rewarding to me.

As my audience grew, I took the leap and went all in on content creation full time. Since then I’ve been able to work with brands, restaurants, and businesses while building an amazing online community. One of the coolest parts of this journey has been seeing the real impact social media can have, from helping small businesses grow to creating conversations that bring people together from completely different backgrounds.

Now I’m based in Nashville and continue creating content around food, lifestyle, culture, and everyday life. I still try to approach everything the same way I did when I first started, which is just being myself, creating things I genuinely love, and making people feel welcomed when they come to my page.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not. Social media can look very glamorous from the outside, but there are a lot of challenges people do not see behind the scenes. One of the biggest struggles was learning to trust myself enough to take the leap into doing this full time. Leaving the stability of traditional careers and stepping into something so unpredictable was scary, especially in the beginning.

There were also a lot of growing pains with learning the business side of content creation. Negotiating deals, understanding my value, handling rejection, dealing with inconsistency, and figuring everything out as I went was not always easy. I think people assume once you go viral everything becomes simple, but in reality there is a lot of pressure that comes with constantly creating, staying relevant, and balancing creativity with business.

Another challenge has honestly been staying grounded online. When you put yourself out there publicly, you open yourself up to criticism, judgment, and negativity. Over time I’ve had to learn not to let outside opinions shape who I am or what I create. That has probably been one of the biggest lessons for me.

At the same time, every challenge has helped shape me into who I am now. I think the difficult moments taught me resilience, confidence, and how important it is to stay authentic. Looking back, I would not change the journey because the struggles are what made the growth meaningful.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a full time content creator and entrepreneur, and I create content centered around food, lifestyle, culture, and community. Most people know me for my food content, especially my Middle Eastern cooking videos, restaurant features, and the storytelling behind everything I create. I love making content that feels warm, welcoming, and real. Whether I’m cooking in my kitchen or highlighting a local business, my goal is always to make people feel connected.

I think what really sets me apart is that my content goes deeper than just recipes or food reviews. A huge part of my platform is about introducing people to cultures, traditions, and experiences that may be different from what they grew up around. Food is such a universal language, and I’ve been able to build a community where people from all different backgrounds can come together, learn from each other, and feel welcomed.

What I’m most proud of is helping people become more open minded. I’ve seen people try foods they never would have tried before, learn about different cultures, and even shift the way they view people who are different from them. In a world where there can be so much division online, being able to create content that encourages curiosity, understanding, and connection means everything to me.

I also think my background in marketing and business gives me a unique perspective as a creator. I understand how to tell stories in a way that feels authentic while also creating real impact for businesses and brands. At the end of the day though, the thing that matters most to me is creating content that feels genuine and leaves people feeling inspired, connected, and welcomed when they come to my page.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can work with me in a variety of ways, whether that’s through brand partnerships, restaurant features, recipe development, social media campaigns, or creative collaborations. I love working with brands and businesses that align naturally with my audience and values, especially in the food, lifestyle, hospitality, and culture space. My favorite partnerships are always the ones that feel authentic and allow me to tell a genuine story in a creative way.

I also love collaborating with local businesses, restaurants, and other creators because I think some of the best ideas come from bringing different people and perspectives together. Whether it’s creating content, hosting experiences, or building something unique together, I’m always open to opportunities that feel meaningful and creative.

The biggest way people can support me honestly is just by engaging with my content. Trying my recipes, sharing my videos, supporting the businesses I feature, leaving kind comments, or simply being part of the community means more than people probably realize. Social media can be such a powerful tool for connection, and I’m really grateful for the people who continue to support and grow with me throughout this journey.
