Rising Stars: Meet Kimberly Armstrong

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Armstrong.

Kimberly Armstrong

Hi Kimberly, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Having studied design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan and Palm Beach State College in South Florida, I launched my first company Life Organized by Design focusing on professional organizing. With clients in both NYC and Palm Beach, I worked with a variety of different clients. With a move to Nashville on the horizon, I decided to re-brand my company and focus on design with organization playing a major role.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Every design project is different and with that comes a new challenge. In our projects, we focus on interior design coupled with organization, with a hint of minimalism. That is the thru thread of all our projects. The excitement is incorporating our client’s vision and personality, with our special style of design to create a wonderful place to come home to.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
After landing in Nashville six years ago and surveying the market regarding interior design, I saw a niche opportunity downtown serving small spaces in condominiums and apartments. Living in small spaces can be a great experience when using luxurious, purposeful items and introducing “mini luxury” wherever possible.

We love to say Small Space – Big Life. When your home is functioning efficiently and the environment is beautiful, you have more time to go live that big life. We focus on quick-turn projects where we help people learn about conscious consumerism and organized living in a small space.

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I trained and ran the New York City Marathon at the age of 40.
