Today, we’d like to introduce you to Liz Hahn.
Hi Liz, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
Of course. I grew up in Southern California, not far from Malibu and Calabasas, and I always loved music, the entertainment industry, and seeing people have fun at parties. I love dancing, going to the town, and enjoying time with my friends at great restaurants and breweries.
I love having fun, and I feel these kinds of experiences must be shared and enjoyed by others. So yeah, working in the party planning industry is my dream job because it brings me a lot of satisfaction to plan amazing bachelorette celebrations for women traveling to Nashville, San Diego, or other party destinations where my agency serves.
I started my first entertainment business in 1991 in San Diego to share the joy and spirit of fun with others. Back then, my business provided Go-Go dancers and promotion models to the EDM DJ scene. However, in time, I decided to expand and specialize in bachelor and bachelorette party services, even though not many businesses were keen to plan parties for rowdy groups. But I really wanted to do this.
We started creating customizable bachelorette party packages and party plans, and we still offer them these days, with everything the party groups wanted: party dancers, bartenders, butlers, cabana boys for pool parties, party buses, yachts, party itineraries, winery tours, you name it. We became a one-stop shop for bachelorette parties.
And if clients come to us saying they want to throw a fun birthday party in Nashville for their bestie and make it a little naughty, of course, we’re down to plan it. Our main focus is bachelorettes, but we love planning private events for all occasions women want to celebrate: birthday parties, girls’ night outs, Galentine’s Day gatherings, and even divorce parties.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I can’t say my business didn’t face any obstacles. After all, the bachelorette party planning industry is very competitive, and you need to always adapt to trends and changes and understand what clients enjoy and expect you to plan.
Actually, the road was not smooth in the beginning. When I started my business, I only had the idea, a pager, and a list of phone numbers for the clients and party entertainers. I had to hustle. It was 30 years ago, and there was no internet, so getting your brand out there was challenging. Now it’s definitely easier: you build a website, you have your business’s social media channels, and you have trustworthy people to work with and manage the online marketing for you. But back then, I had to rely on guerilla marketing, local partnerships, and connections in the underground music scene.
What you learn from this industry is that you must stay flexible and constantly improve and change along with trends and the context. We saw how unexpected the COVID-19 pandemic was and how many businesses and people suffered. Our company took a hit as well. During the pandemic, we made a pivot to virtual bachelorette parties. It was a huge success. It helped the company survive during times when no one could travel.
Now we’re doing great. We expanded our services to Nashville, and party planning is super fun here. Bachelorettes love our themed male dancers, especially the Bad Boy Cowboy theme, which goes really well for party themes such as the Last Rodeo and the Latin Lover dancer option, which is great for Margarita-themed baches.
I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We’re most proud of our Bad Boy party entertainers. These hot guys offer choreographed dance routines and naughty and exotic dances and love to keep the ladies engaged in fun party games.
Our Bad Boy Cabana Boys are skilled in bartending, serving drinks and snacks to the party guests, fluffing the towels at pool parties, applying suntan lotions, and offering light shoulder massages. All these Bad Boy party stripper pros can entertain bachelorette groups and offer everyone the time of their lives.
They are charming gentlemen with sculpted bodies–great eye candy for the girls. I’m super proud of them; we could not have delivered such amazing party experiences without them.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
