Rising Stars: Meet Mackenzie Morgan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mackenzie Morgan.

Hi Mackenzie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have been singing and performing since I was 7 years old. Born in Lexington, KY, my parents and I moved to Nashville, TN, when I was 14 years old for me to pursue a music career. Since then, I’ve been writing and recording my music professionally, and am so excited to share my new EP which will be out in the spring of 2022!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely has not been easy, that’s for sure. There have been many moments of self-doubt – sometimes daily. Overall, my faith is what helps me know that I’m right where God wants me to be and reminds me how little control I really have. Releasing that control is so important to be able to do what you’re called to do in life.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a professional recording artist, and I write my own original music, perform locally and around Nashville, and am very passionate about providing an inspirational message in my music which is missing greatly from mainstream pop radio.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
My style of music is a mix of 80’s synth-pop and rock. My absolute favorite decade is the 80’s!
