Today we’d like to introduce you to Modern Day Miracle. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Modern day miracle (MDM) is a four-piece band from Franklin, Tennessee, that has quickly captured its audience with catchy, dance choruses contrasted with high-energy instrumentals. The band was created in 2018 under a different name. Independently released, MDM’s debut single “Genocide Z” was created fully by the band while working closely with producer/mixing engineer Kent Hooper when they were 15 years of age.
The band consists of Isaac Sammons (Vocals/Bass) Levi Oakerson (Lead Guitar/Vocals), Christian Hooper (Drums), and Gavin Picard (Guitars). MDM has amassed over One Million streams on their hit single “Falling in a Dream”, which has an infectious melody to match its catchy lyrics and a memorable hook. Now at 19 and 20, MDM is eager to prove themselves to their audience and to the world.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Being in a band will always have obstacles. Some you can control, and others not. A big struggle for us and pretty much everyone in the world was the 2020 pandemic. around springtime, we had multiple shows lined up and started to gain some traction as a group.
Once everything shut down we took it upon ourselves to become even better and focus harder on our craft with only an inkling of a thought that live music would ever come back. Now, the biggest struggle is catching up with all of the artistic vision we gained over those years.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Modern Day Miracle is much more than just a band. Coming to our shows and listening to our music means that you have a lens into somewhat of a relationship with us.
Our bread and butter will always be our live show so if you want a true MDM experience, That’s where it’ll be. This is only the beginning for us and we will be working day and night to make the best version of our art that we can.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Don’t try to be other people. The worst thing a young musician can do no matter the skill level is to try to make something that isn’t inside of them. Only you can do your music, so make it the best it can be.
