Today we’d like to introduce you to Reanna Simpson.
Hi Reanna, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in Tennessee, and I grew up with the best of both worlds, weekdays spent in the country with my dad, soaking in the slower pace of rural life, and weekends in Nashville with my grandparents, where the energy of the city felt like a second home. That rhythm between wide-open spaces and the heart of Music City shaped who I am today.
My love of photography traces back to my grandaddy, who always had a camera in hand and an eye for capturing moments. Watching him freeze time through a lens planted a seed in me that never stopped growing. Now, picture-taking is second nature it’s my way of seeing the world and holding onto it.
That same curiosity and love of exploration carried me to college, where I found my people in my sorority and built friendships and memories that became one of the most defining chapters of my life.
Today, I’m rooted in Nashville the city that raised me on weekends and I’ve made it my playground. My passion for social media and storytelling brings it all together the exploring, the photography, the love of a good moment worth sharing. Whether I’m documenting a new happy hour spot or searching for the next hidden gem in the city, I’m living a life built on curiosity, connection, and a Tennessee heart.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I went back and forth on majors, on directions, on what “success” was even supposed to look like for me. It was frustrating and honestly a little scary not having a clear answer to knowing what I wanted to do after college I never had a neat, confident response, and for a long time that felt like a failure.
But looking back, I think that uncertainty was actually shaping me more than I realized. It pushed me to try things, explore different interests, and eventually lean into what genuinely lit me up creating, storytelling, and connecting with people. The path wasn’t linear, and it definitely wasn’t what I expected, but it led me exactly where I was supposed to be.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
These days, I wear two hats and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. By day, I work in insurance, building a stable career that keeps me grounded and focused. It’s the kind of work that requires attention to detail, reliability, and showing up consistently and I take that seriously.
But when the workday ends, I get to step into a completely different version of myself. Social media is my creative outlet, my passion project, and a side gig that I’ve built from a genuine love of storytelling and exploring. I’ve turned my weekends in Nashville into content, documenting the city I grew up loving through my own lens. My series “Happy Hour Hangs” is exactly what it sounds like finding the best happy hour spots Nashville has to offer and bringing my audience along for the ride. It’s the perfect blend of everything that makes me, me. The photography my grandaddy inspired, the love of Nashville that my grandparents instilled in me, and that natural pull toward connection and sharing experiences with people.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
On top of it all, I recently took the leap and started my own podcast Let’s Reevaluate. It’s a space where I get to talk about everyday life, girl stuff, and honestly, a little bit of everything. No strict format, no specific lane just real, relatable conversations about the things we’re all navigating, thinking about, and living through.
The name says it all. Life is constantly making you stop and reevaluate your choices, your mindset, your direction and I wanted to create a space that embraces that rather than shying away from it. A big part of what I cover comes back to the things I believe in most happiness, positivity, and the power of good friendships. I talk about choosing joy even when life gets messy, surrounding yourself with the right people, and how the friendships you invest in truly shape who you become.
But I also get into the harder conversations the ones women don’t always feel like they have permission to say out loud. The pressure society puts on us to hit certain milestones by certain ages. The unspoken timelines that follow us around when to have it all figured out, when to settle down, when to look a certain way, when to be a certain way. I talk about how exhausting and unfair those standards are, and why it’s okay more than okay to rewrite the timeline on your own terms.
