Rising Stars: Meet Sofia Hauser of Nashville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sofia Hauser.

Hi Sofia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My story begins long before moving to Nashville, but at the same time I had a new beginning after coming to Tennessee. I dreamt of singing Country music since I was eight years old, but it became deeper than a dream when I moved here. Going to places like the Grand Ole Opry, The Bluebird, watching writer’s rounds, and writing with different musicians all became a catalyst to really make singing more than a goal in life, but to actually make a living doing what I love.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It can be tough starting out in a new place not knowing anyone or even just the music culture in a new city. I had very few connections in Nashville, I maybe knew a handful of people before moving. But through them I connected with more people and my group of friends and writers and musicians grew. You have to be willing to put yourself out there and be bold in wanting to connect with people you don’t know. This is something that came easy to me being an only child, but it did take a few years for me to find a solid group of people in the music scene.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a singer and songwriter living in Nashville, Tennessee. I love to write and sing Country music but I also have recently gotten into the Christian music writing scene since the beginning of 2026. It has been fun stepping into new territory, especially one that I am sort of familiar with but don’t know that part of the industry like I do Country music. I released my debut album “Blame It on My Heart” last June and have loved playing my songs around town and sharing my music with people. I write from a very honest place about my life, my marriage, and my experience in the industry. I don’t relate to the songs about drinking and dating and pick up trucks, so I enjoy creating songs that I would want to listen to or that I would like to hear on the radio.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Kindness goes a long way. Really all the Fruits of the Spirit do! But I would say being kind and having a welcoming spirit and a genuine interest in fellow musicians and writers will get you more rooms. And also being a dependable person!
