Sofie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Sofie Katherine and my greatest passion is to help people trust their intuition. My business “Quiet Luxuries” was born out of a desire to help people live a life truly authentic to them and their energy. I have always been highly intuitive and sensitive to people’s energy with no idea on how to control what was mine and what wasn’t. I slowly started curating products as well as embracing my gift of Tarot and that was when “Quiet Luxuries” was created. I launched in 2025 when I first moved to Nashville and it’s been steadily growing ever since then.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Learning to trust my intuition and gifts has been quite the journey. I grew up in a Patriarchal/Fundementalist Christian cult which stripped away the ability to trust my own inner voice. I was able to leave at 22 and began the journey of healing and self exploration by moving to the West Coast and starting over. I started a podcast in 2022 called “Changing the Narrative” and began hosting people from all types of belief systems. Through conversations with people so unique and different I slowly learned that I could trust my inner knowing. I now make it my goal to help every person I meet to trust their instinct. Whether it’s through a reading or cleaning their home with one of my sage bundles, quiet luxury, is about having the ability to protect your energy, your home and your well being. It is the ability to live life with a calm state of mind letting your inner compass lead the way. So, to summarize my greatest struggle became my greatest passion.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Each person you meet has a unique story to share. I have always been able to sense what people are feeling, and now, through my business I can curate a unique product or reading specifically for them. Through Tarot we find guidance through the cards that help people find their way through the chaotic world we reside in. Through my products people can set the tone of their safe place or their home. I have always loved aesthetics and scents, the way energy could be shifted just by a candle or a vibe. I infuse my sage with lavender which creates a calm energy when smudging and each candle is made without chemicals and charged with crystals to ensure the intention each was made with. For years there has been a stigma around metaphysics, tarot readers have been something to be wary of. My goal is to make it less daunting and more approachable. To make metaphysics and tarot an elevated experience that adds to your everyday life. How do you think about luck?
Interesting question. I wouldn’t say luck hasn’t played a role. It has been more of an awareness of alignment. I started realizing if it felt good in my body and flowed the Universe was working with me. It took me several years to understand that I was working against myself but once I had that epiphany things became a lot smoother.
