Hi Tim, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Tim Walker’s journey as an artist, producer, and songwriter is inspiring. His debut single, “Can’t Keep Chasin’,” released in January 2023, reflects his creative talent and his exploration of relationships in society.
His impressive connections with notable music organizations such as Sony Music Entertainment, Memphis Music Initiative, Memphis Orff Music Chapter, Stax Music Academy, and Memphis Slim Collaboratory have enriched his skills in music, marketing, and professionalism. His recognition as an emerging star in the Consortium MMT further validates his talent.
Currently serving as the Orff Music and Jazz Band Director at John P. Freeman Optional School, he shares his deep passion for music with middle school, elementary, jazz band, and percussion students. His determination and hard work, even while overcoming obstacles, continue to drive his musical journey forward, and he aspires to share his musical abilities with the world. Tim Walker’s dedication to music is evident and commendable.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some obstacles may include not being able to pursue certain things because of the current 9-5 or making time to create.

I wanted to be an architect when growing up but my passion changed once I started band in middle school.
