Hi Treyvon, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I am TeeJay the barber located in Clarksville, TN. Barbering isn’t something I just do.
I am passionate about it! I love being able to interact with others. Every cut is a chance to change someone’s life. I want to be the best version of myself so that I’m able to inspire those around me.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
About two years ago I was homeless living in my car back in North Carolina.
I lost sight of who I was and where I wanted to go. That was such a humbling moment in my life. It took time to regain my motivation, but in the midst of it, all God decided to show me what I was called to do.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a professional. Barbering is my craft which allows me to be creative.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Do what you love instead of doing what you have to do to survive. You’ll be a lot happier with life.
