Rising Stars: Meet Will & Reid Nichols of Nashville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Will & Reid Nichols.

Hi Will & Reid, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We are 2 brothers chasing a dream! We started young playing dive bars back home in Maine. Starting at 10 (Reid) and 13 (Will)! After a few years, the brothers decided to pursue music as a full time venture, playing almost 280 shows a year in New England. Finally gaining some recognition, they won New England Music Awards ‘Song of the Year 2023’ and ‘Act of the Year 2024’! 2024 was a big year for the 12/OC brothers, selling out a handful of self made concerts ranging from 500-900 cap venues and selling them all out! We also were able to sell out ‘Aura’ in Portland Maine (1100 cap) in 7 hours and also the State Theatre in Portland as well (1900 cap) in 8 days! Now we are touring nationally on our self made and self managed runs and are spreading the word and good vibes to people all around the country! Our next huge show is a 6500 cap amphitheater in Portland Maine with Artist/Writer John Morgan as direct support!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In music as you know there are always bumps in the road. But being brothers, we get each other. Don’t get me wrong, we fight hard but we also love even harder and nothing can come in between us!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are a country music brothers duo! We travel the country spread our music to people to try to give them the best time possible! Spreading our original music and showing the people what they want!

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
There is nothing to dislike about Nashville being in the music business. The amount of connections and resources are unmatched!
