Hi Ashley, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I believe I am wandering. I don’t know all the answers or how far my dreams are going to take me. But I am along for the ride. I am loving the journey, I am loving the knowledge and experience I am gaining along the way. So I am here for my wandering path!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi my name is Ashley! I am a professional lash tech and a recent graduate of a masters degree in psychology! What makes my brand so unique and special is I offer lash extension services at an affordable rate! I offer any lash set for $60 opposed to my competitors offering lash extensions for $150 plus. I believe in making the beauty business affordable again in a world that’s so expensive. I am working on incorporating lashes and mentor/venting sessions all in one place!
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Motherhood! Motherhood showed me no one cares that you had a baby! It means it’s time to work harder! It’s back to work after six weeks and back to motherhood after work. There’s no in between and no sympathy. In today’s world mothers are expected to do it all. Most mothers have proven that we can be superwoman!! I love it!
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Love yourself!!! Don’t stop doing the things you love because of your friends. Friends come and go and will let you down. But continue to chase your dreams it will bring you success if you don’t give up!
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief you used to hold tightly but now think was naive or wrong?
I used to hold on tight to fake it til you make it! Staying strong and pushing through til you figure it out. But I believe it’s ok to ask for help. I also believe it’s ok to cry and not have everything figured out. God can handle whatever you give to him!
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel the most at peace at church! It’s my safe place! I feel loved, joyful and not judge! Sundays are my favorite day of the week. I feel the most comfortable and encouraged at church!
