Story & Lesson Highlights with Jack Youngblood of Franklin

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Jack Youngblood. Check out our conversation below.

Jack, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. When was the last time you felt true joy?
I feel true joy every time I walk into my church. When I am in church, worshipping God, I feel all of my worries and cares fall away. We sing a beautiful hymn that says “lay aside all Earthly cares”, and that is exactly what happens when I drive into that parking lot, all of a sudden, every worldly care goes away, true peace. Every part of attending church consistently on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, from venerating the Holy icons, worshipping, and fellowship with my dear friends afterward, every part of attending God’s church brings me true joy. Thank God.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Jack Youngblood—creator, podcaster, and follower of Christ.

I create Christian/positive lifestyle videos on Instagram (@jack_youngblood), often sharing lessons I’m learning in my faith, thoughts on life, and encouragement for others. I’m on my journey into the Eastern Orthodox Church, and that’s shaped a lot of how I approach content and life in general now—grounded, reflective, and authentically me.

For work, I co-founded The Podcast House, a production studio based in Franklin, TN. We help businesses and creators launch powerful podcasts and short-form content, but more than that, we help them build trust with their audience and customers by leaning into their real voice.

Outside of work, I’m usually at the gym (six days a week!), traveling whenever I can—I backpacked in Switzerland and saw Italy, Greece, and Turkey summer of 2024. I believe creativity, faith, and business don’t have to live in separate lanes, and I’m building a life that weaves them all together but still keeping God first.

Right now, I’m focused on entering the Orthodox Church. As well as growing both my personal brand and The Podcast House with content that uplifts, challenges, and invites people into something deeper.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was a curious, creative, and soft-hearted kid who loved asking big questions and finding meaning in small moments. I wasn’t chasing titles or trying to be impressive—I just wanted to understand the world around me. Which led me to falling away from my faith before.

Somewhere along the way, like most of us, I picked up expectations—of success, masculinity, achievement, image. But deep down, that original version of me never left. He’s the reason I create, why I value depth over noise, and why I’m learning to unlearn what the world tried to teach me… so I can return to the person that God plans me to be, which I will never have a definite answer to, but I will trust Him to do His will in my life.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
It taught me to stop striving long enough to actually listen. To God, to my own heart, to the people around me. Where success made me feel in control, suffering reminded me I never really was, strangely that was freeing when I came to realize this.

It taught me compassion, not just for others, but for myself. It stripped away the illusion that my worth comes from performance, and revealed that who I am in the quiet, broken places matters even more than who I am when things are going well. The devil let’s us live in comfort because when we are comfortable we tend to not lean on God, we must learn to lean on God in both the good and bad times.

Success can be loud, fast, and blinding. Suffering is quiet, slow, and humbling. And in that, I learned to trust God more deeply. God will do His will, I am not in control, and if I believe I am, I am furthering myself from God.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Entering the Orthodox Church, it is a long process. We go through our inquiring period of trying to figure out if this is the path to go down (I have realized it is). Then we become Catechumens, which depending on your journey and commitment can take longer, then you are baptized and/or chrismated. I know the process will be long, but my resolve is definite that I want to join the church in this way. It will be a beautiful day when I am baptized.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I will always be most misunderstood by most why I try to stay away from drunkenness, lust, and the temptations of this world. We live in a very sin-driven world, temptations are around every corner. It is inevitable that we will all sin, but we must keep in mind how important repentance is.
