Hi Leena, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
My fiancé and my children always bring me joy! Just being in their presence is enough to put a smile on my face and a warm, fuzzy feeling in my soul.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am the Owner of The Quirky Giraffe Boutique. We’re exclusively online and sell boutique finds at affordable prices. We source most of our products from wholesale companies but also sell “gently used” pieces that are unique and stylish.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
My dad has been highly influential in my entrepreneurial journey. He has owned businesses before and outside of that, is an extremely hard worker. He’s always pushing me to unleash my full potential.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
I think like many people, the fear of failure has held me back. I’m such a perfectionist and want everything to go according to plan, so when things don’t, I tend to step back and give fear too much power.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that my faith, family, and friends are most important to me. The title “mom” is my most cherished!
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m simply being with my family. Even if we’re just sitting and watching television together, I feel like I’m “home” when I’m with the people I love the most.
