Story & Lesson Highlights with Randall Fowler

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Randall Fowler. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Randall , it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is a normal day like for you right now?
Taking my daughter to school and getting ready for my co-writes l. Clocking in 11-5 coming home and eating dinner with my family

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Randall Fowler, I’ve been a singer/songwriter in Nashville for the past 3 years. A musician the past 18 years. Currently Writing, recording and releasing my own music as well as writing for other artists within the country music community. I was the front man of a cover band in South Carolina for 15 years before deciding to go out on my own and take a shot at the big leagues. I’ve always been a vocalist first but really dove into the craft of songwriting when I moved to town. I signed my first publishing deal in April of 2023. I like making music that’s good for the soul

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
My step dad. He worked on the road for 30 years. Would drive 16 hours just to spend one or two nights home with us. Just to turn around and drive 16 hours back. Hardest working man I’ve ever known

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes! Many times. I remember sitting at my kitchen table telling my wife it was either music or shift work I had a choice to make. She helped me see that music was the way. Every now and then I still feel that but I keep working and keep grinding. Writing good songs every day. I’m glad I haven’t given up because I just got two song writer cuts on Bailey Zimmermans new album. “Before You” and “These Nights”. My biggest accomplishment so far in my music career. And I’m only getting started.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They’d say my family and music. I’m nothing without my wife and daughter and music is my passion. The two go hand in hand

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
If I were doing what I was told to do I’d be doing shift work. Miserably. I wholeheartedly believe I am doing what I was born to do. Every day I get to wake up and create music. Share my stories with the world. It’s a dream.
