We’re looking forward to introducing you to Sosanna Coyne Will. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Sosanna, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity matters most to me because at the end of the day, it’s what you’ve got to live with. Energy fades, intelligence can be misused—but integrity? That’s your name, your work, your word. In my world as a small business owner, if people can’t trust you, nothing else holds up. You can be the smartest or most driven person in the room, but if you’re cutting corners or only showing up when it benefits you, it shows. And it doesn’t last.
I work hard. I’ve built what I have with grit, long hours, and treating people right—even when no one’s watching. Integrity isn’t always the flashy trait, but it’s the one that gets you the call back, the repeat client, the real respect. That matters more to me than just being clever or charismatic. I’d rather be solid than slick.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hey there—I’m Sosanna, a lifelong creative, small business owner, and unapologetic rocker at heart. I own and run two businesses side by side: Exhale Massage & Wellness, where I’ve been helping people heal and reset since 2016, and Frame On You Photography, my dream studio where I capture bold, intimate, and authentic stories through the lens.
Lately, I’ve been shifting the spotlight of my photography toward live music and musician portraiture—because there’s nothing like the raw emotion, grit, and fire that happens when an artist is lost in the sound. I thrive in that energy. Whether it’s a killer shot from the pit or an on-brand portrait session that shows who you are off-stage, I’m here for it. This work lets me merge my lifelong love of music with my creative eye behind the camera—and that’s where the magic happens.
What sets me apart? I don’t just offer a service—I create an experience. Whether I’m working out the tension in your shoulders or capturing the passion in your performance, I show up with grit, heart, and the kind of energy that only comes from someone who truly loves what they do. Right now, I’m also expanding my continuing education offerings for massage therapists, teaching deep tissue and therapeutic techniques that are hands-on, real, and built for results.
Healing is an art. Photography is an art. I’m here to do both—with heart, hustle, and a little rock-and-roll.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Sarah Cain saw me clearly before I ever truly saw myself. She owned Sarah’s Florist in West Houston and came into my life when I was just 22. I was full of ambition but still figuring out who I was and where I was going. Sarah became more than just a friend—she was a mentor, a steady voice of reason, and a fierce believer in my potential.
She showed me what it looked like to run a business with both heart and backbone. Through her example and her guidance, I started to believe in myself and in the kind of life I could build. Even now, all these years later, she’s still a constant in my world—and someone I credit with helping shape the woman and business owner I’ve become.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
“You’re not too much—you’re just right. Keep that fire.”
I’d tell her she doesn’t need to shrink herself to be loved or accepted. That the boldness, the big heart, the fierce independence—it’s all a gift, not a flaw. The world might try to quiet her down, but one day she’ll build a life around everything that made her feel different. So hold your head high, little rebel. You’re going to be just fine.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
That healing and success both require discomfort—and that’s not a bad thing.
Most people chase ease, thinking peace means things should always feel good. But I believe the real work—whether it’s in business, healing, or personal growth—happens in the uncomfortable places. Growth isn’t always graceful. Healing isn’t always calm. Sometimes it’s messy, painful, even exhausting. But that doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong—it means you’re doing it for real.
Very few people want to sit in that kind of fire, but it’s where all the real transformation lives.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I wasn’t built for the safe path, the desk job, or anyone else’s version of “success.” I was born to create. To make art with my hands—whether I’m working muscle and tension in a massage room or capturing raw emotion through a camera lens. This life I’ve built? It didn’t come from following rules. It came from breaking them.
I had to fight to trust my instincts. To stop asking for permission and start carving my own way. The world didn’t hand me this path—I forged it. And every piece of it, from the late nights to the wild ideas, feels like home.
