What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?

There is no one path – to success or even to New York (or Kansas). Similarly, what matters to others can vary widely – so we tried to tighten up that question to focus on three key traits to see what most folks in our community valued most – intelligence, energy, or integrity?

I have to go with integrity on this one. Perhaps in a different season of life, I might have chosen intelligence or energy, but the longer I live, the more I realize how rare and valuable integrity is. Integrity…hands down. Whether in my business, home life or friendships without integrity how can I keep the trust of colleagues, family or friends. None of us are perfect, and I have certainly made mistakes. I think it is how I choose to handle the mistake which means being truthful. Read more>>

Integrity, hands down. Intelligence and energy are great, but without integrity, they can be misused. To me, integrity is about being the same person in private as you are in public—living with honesty, consistency, and a heart aligned with God’s truth. What is more important to me intelligence, energy, or integrity? Such an interesting question but integrity is far more important than energy and intelligence. I find integrity to be foundational. It is a governing principle. It helps to guide the ethic of how I use and access energy and intelligence in various spaces, places and communities. Read more>>
